These lively festivities aim to revitalize cherished traditions and customs while drawing in more visitors to savor the vibrant Caribbean ambiance.
Solidaridad will be adorned for the “Carnival Playa del Carmen 2024,” where under the leadership of Lili Campos, the municipal government is set to present unprecedented shows, brimming with activities from February 6th to 13th. Their steadfast goal is to bolster the preservation of traditions and entice a larger audience to revel in the festive spirit.
During a press briefing, Lili Campos unveiled the lineup of artists set to grace the carnival nights in Solidaridad. Among them, she highlighted: “On February 9th, Carlos Rivera will perform, followed by Sebastián Yatra on the 10th, the sensational Banda MS on the 11th, and La Sonora Santanera on the 13th, along with many others, all admission-free.” These skilled performers, with their infectious energy and talent, pledge to infuse each day with a dynamic and joyful atmosphere.
Furthermore, Campos extended a warm invitation to the public to partake in the carnival festivities. “Let’s all come together, enjoy the shows, and take part in the parades with our families and friends. It’s our chance to demonstrate to the world our readiness to dance, sing, and, above all, showcase the Caribbean spirit within us,” she emphasized.
The president also revealed that each day of the Carnival will showcase diverse troupes and over 12 floats, with four designated routes, including one along the iconic 5th Avenue. Here, they will dazzle spectators with their exuberant performances. The variety of these displays, catering to children, youth, diversity, seniors, and open categories, ensures that everyone can partake in and appreciate the cultural programs.
