Tulum, known for its stunning beaches, lush jungles, and mesmerizing cenotes, continues to be a top destination for travelers. With winter approaching, the trendy Mexican city is gearing up for an influx of tourists, especially with the upcoming openings of the new airport and the eagerly awaited Maya Train next month.

Responding to this increasing interest, airlines are expanding their networks to include Tulum. Initially, three cities were connected, and now three additional cities are joining this list, making Tulum non-stop accessible from six American cities.

American Airlines’ Entry into Tulum

American Airlines is set to join the route to Mexico’s sought-after destination. Though a bit late, they bring a stylish entrance, with plans to start their first Tulum route on March 28, 2024. For now, the alternative remains flying to Cancun and traveling to Tulum. Dallas/Fort Worth will enjoy more frequent flights, while Miami and Charlotte will have a single daily flight. American Airlines offers connections to Tulum from over 200 U.S. destinations.
